Social Outreach Foundation (SOF), a registered society, was established to educate children from deprived socio-economic backgrounds. SOF is based on the firm conviction that education can change lives. We provide primary education and help children gain admission in schools for post-primary education. We also sponsor them for vocational training.

Growth & Expansion of SOF Primary School

  • Inaugurated on August 3, 1995 by Dr. V. Mohini Giri (Hon. President SOF and ITC Class `57) in two classrooms granted for use by the Principal of DPS, NOIDA
  • Grew to a full-fledged primary school by 2002, when it moved to its present rented premises in Sector 37, NOIDA
  • Today considered one of the best managed schools for less privileged children in NOIDA
  • Primary Education

    A. Morning session: 177 students, LKG to Class V, using NCERT books, Medium of instruction: English/Hindi.

    B. Afternoon session: 104 students, Classes 1 to V, using NCERT books, Medium of instruction: English/Hindi.

  • Post Primary Education Support

    All the children are admitted to CBSE recognized Secondary Schools in NOIDA on completion of primary education. SOF gives partial support to every child for tuition fees, books, uniforms & additional coaching till Class 12. Academic and extracurricular activities of these children are closely monitored.

    Currently, SOF is sponsoring 93 children for post primary education.
    The first batch of SOF children appeared for Board exams in 2007. Since then, over 100 children sponsored by SOF have cleared the Senior Secondary Board exams.

  • Professional / Vocational Guidance

    All students who have passed Class 12 are encouraged to pursue graduation, vocational and professional courses. 3 students are currently being partially sponsored for undergraduate studies at Delhi University.
